Registration for 2021 Soccer Season now Open!

Before proceeding with your registration, please review the following important information.

The 2021 Season – What is it going to look like?

At this time, we do not know what the 2021 season is going to look like.  It may start later in the spring, and it could extend longer into the summer.  We may be able to play in the Inter-County Soccer League, or we may need to restrict travel to within our public health unit.  We may even need to play a house-league schedule entirely in Embro.  We may not be able to have spectators or the number of spectators may be limited. It is quite possible the season may change and evolve as it proceeds. There are many possibilities. However, while we do not know what the season will look like, we will do our best to align our soccer programs with the weekly schedule that we typically follow (see the table below) – but this may not be possible.

Ultimately, any decisions Embro FC makes with respect to the 2021 season will be based on direction and advice from the Southwestern Public Health Unit, the Ontario Soccer Association, the Inter-County Soccer League, the Province of Ontario and the Township of Zorra.

However, in hopeful anticipation that the 2021 season will proceed in some form, we are opening registration on March 1, 2021.

What programs are you offering in 2021?  What will registration cost for 2021 cost?

We regret to announce that we will not be able to host the U3 parent and tot soccer program, and the U5 combined soccer and baseball skills program in 2021.  Registration for all other co-ed recreational soccer programs from U5 through to U21 will proceed.

Since we do not know exactly know what the 2021 season will look like at this time, no decisions have been made with respect to registration fees.  However, we are committed to holding registration fees at their 2019 levels:  $65 for U5 and U7 and $100 for U9 through to U21 (players born between 2000 and 2017).

We recognize that as the start of the 2021 soccer season approaches, you may wish to reconsider your child’s participation in the program.  This is in part why we are not collecting registration fees at this time.  We will plan to collect fees closer to the commencement of the season and will follow up with registrants at that time. However, once fees for the 2021 season have been collected, there will be no refunds.

How do I register my child to play soccer?

Registration will take place online at starting March 1, 2021.  Click on the purple button at the bottom of this web page to start the registration process. Complete the registration process using Sportsavyy, similar to the past couple of seasons.  However, when you get to the last step (Payment), do not provide any payment information and simply close the webpage.  Click the X in the top right corner.  Do NOT log out.  You will be be registered for the season – but will be registered indicating that fees have not been paid.  We will contact registrants closer to the start of the season with additional information regarding collection of registration fees.  If you have any questions or challenges with the registration process, or are unable to use our online registration system, please email us at

What is the deadline for registration?

We would encourage you to register by March 31, 2021 so we can have a sense of registration numbers and can begin making some decisions regarding the 2021 season.

Do you need volunteers for this season?

We anticipate that the 2021 soccer season will be unique, and that we may have a greater need for volunteers than ever before. For example, we may need more coaches if team sizes are capped, or we may need volunteers to collect attendance for players and spectators. While completing the registration form on the website, please consider offering to donate some of your time if possible. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

We appreciate your on-going support and look forward to seeing you on the pitch for the 2021 season!  In the interim, please continue to follow all advice from the public health unit and the provincial government regarding Covid-19.  If we all do our part, hopefully it will allow us to have an amazing 2021 season.
