Dear Soccer Families
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we have worked through the logistics related to the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now prepared to explain how we will handle refunds for the season.
To receive your refund, please email email@example.com and provide the following details: name of the individual your account is under; and, first and last name of each child who was registered to play soccer in 2020. If you paid online, then the payment will be refunded through Paypal. If you paid in person, please let us know in your email, as we will need to issue a cheque to you.
A few of you have asked about donating this year’s soccer registration to the club to offset costs and help us invest in ongoing field improvements and new equipment. If you wish to do this, any donation would be gladly accepted and appreciated by the club. However, please be advised that Embro Minor Soccer is NOT a registered charity, and therefore cannot issue a tax receipt for any donation you choose to make. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm if your intent is to leave your registration in place as a donation.
We will continue to monitor the situation. If we do get permission to play soccer sometime later in the summer, Embro FC will consider organizing a few ‘drop-in’ soccer evenings, so kids can still get out and have a chance to play some soccer with their friends and learn some skills. Watch the website and Facebook for potential announcements.
In the meantime, have a safe and healthy summer, and get outside and practice skills development on your own! Hopefully, we will see you on the pitch soon!
